Shreveport Sam's Town
Shreveport is at Louisiana. A place that John and I like to visit once or twice a year. We like to have John's parents come along too because we always have fun at the casino. There are few casinos at Shreveport and Sam's Town is the one we always stay in. I love love love their hotel room. Big bed, Big big 4 pillows and a BIG BIG bathroom. I din't win in gambling and I lose like 80usd. Stupid slot machines which did no good to us. But, I had great time in the room, taking good bath and watching olympic games.

Just a short trip with John before I fly back to Malaysia. 3 hours drive to Louisiana is not bad at all. And you know what, I actually slept all the way back from Louisiana to Dallas. My family they all know how much and how fast I can doze off in a car or plane. Thats why, I do not complain much about the long flight from the states back to Malaysia. I can always sleep! If not, a little pink pill can help me definitely =)

Sushi Lover!
I love Sushi and it is no secret to anyone who knows me but John has become a sushi lover as well under my influence. Well, he loves california roll, unagi roll and others cooked stuff. For sashimi, he still not very interested in it. He says raw fish tastes like cheese wiz... WTH? haha~
Anyway, those stores nowadays, have this sushi section which they made fresh sushi everyday. The Kroger nearby my house, has this asian lady employed as the Sushi chef. Well, at least she is in a chef costume and looks like she knows what she is doing! But the wal-mart at another corner of my house, they have mexicans to make the sushi. I would not say the sushi taste bad but its just funny to see them making sushi.
We tend to buy sushi quite often lately, especially when we have no idea what to eat for lunch. Sushi is just delicious and yummy! Can never ever got enough of it!

GHD

I know about GHD through Melisa. An old friend of mine that we share interests in cosmetic, make up, hair do, celebrity gossips and bla bla... I was so excited about it until I SAW the price. Dang, 240usd for a hair straightener? Apparently it is something more than my budget and I refuse to pay for it.

CHI and Sedu are some other good hair straightener brands in the market and they cost lower than GHD. I actually planned to get a Sedu sometimes end of this year but I think I have to change my mind now because... I already had my hands on GHD, and I KNOW how GREAT it is. Well, I din't purchase one but Melisa did. She bought one online in the states and shipped to my place and I will carry it back to Malaysia for her. Of course, I have the privillage to TEST TRY it to make sure it works fine.

It is a GHD Mk4 Black. It comes in a big, nice rectangular box. It looks no difference with those normal straighteners but the ceramic plate is coated in yellow color. The whole thing actually weights very light only the plug is heavy. Before I used it, I already had my hair clean and blowed dry the night before I went to sleep. It heats up very fast. Firstly, I sprayed a layer of heat protection on my hair and then I devided my hair into two part, left and right. I worked on the left side of hair first and I was totally amazed with it. I heard this little voice buzzing around my ears, " You Gotta HAVE it! "

Well, my hair is quite straight to begin with but it is not sleeky shine and straight enough to my standard. I know some people might think I am crazy (like my hubby) but this is what I think. Since I already spent years to keep my hair to this length, I definitely should put much effort to keep it healthy and looks good. To compare the conair 2" nano ceramite straightener I own with GHD, I can definitely strongly feel the minimal damage GHD could do to my hair. GHD is so easy to use, it glides through my hair smoothly need you not pressing hard on the straightener with two hands. I love how it glides smoothly, effortlessly through the few inch end of my hair. That is the driest part of my hair with multiple endless split ends. I always have hard time gliding through my hair tail when I use the conair I have. But I don't have this problem at all using the GHD. That is why GHD has totally captivated my heart.

Before Using GHD

GHD can be used to curl your hair too. It doesn't work very well for me in curling my hair as I think is due to my hair length. I will stick with my curling iron to create big waves and curls. Anyway, this is something I would like to share with everyone after I finally use the GHD. I am happy and satisfied with the sleekiness and shininess it gives. It is GOOD, well, it is GREAT I have to say. If you want to buy a good straightener and you were willing to invest into a pricy gadget, GHD should be in your list. Honestly, I want one. Haha, but I have to save up some money for it. It is expensive, but it worth every penny though. So here I officially announce, GHD is in my wishlist. =)

Ford Mustang
John has his mustang for many years. It is a 1997 Cobra Mustang in black color. He loves his mustang very much eventhough he does not drive it very often. We plan to sell it for long time but John feels reluctant to do so every time he cleans and polishes the car.

I have to agree that Mustang is a very cool sport car. John shows me a Ford Mustang blog lately, and I have my jaw dropped when I saw some really cool Mustangs. I personally think the limited edition Ford Mustang Blackjack is sweet and it is my favourite. Of course, it is too expensive for us to afford though. Well, looking at nice cars is always a enjoyable thing.

Milwaukee Trip
I come back from my Milwaukee trip for about 3 weeks and I haven't even posted anything about this trip. It was more like a family gathering event to me. I had great time meeting John's other family members and visited to the places that my parent in laws grew up and lived. Milwaukee is such a pretty city. They have river in the city, they have beaches, pretty parks and bike trails. A very lovely and lively city that you can do many intereting stuffs.

During this trip, we were well fed by them with many delicious home made mexican food. Another highlight of this Milwaukee trip is... the Leon's frozen custard!!! Oh My God!!! They are sooo freaking yummy and tasty. I ate 3 times with in the few days trip. I firstly tried their chocolate flavour and I have to say it tasted sooo heavenly great. The second and the third time, I just totally fallen in love with their butter pecan. Aaaahhhh, pulling my hair now and looking up the ceiling, asking WHY??? Why Leon's is only in Milwaukee? And Why Milwaukee is that far away??? My god... imagine... if its distant was like between KL and Melaka (around 2 hours?), I think I will be driving up there just to eat this frozen custard. I am serious ok?! They are super yummy!

This is the Leon's... they have heavenly good frozen custard

Thats my favourite butter pecan... I WANT SOME NOW!!!

Kevin and Linda's lovely house. Very pretty and cozy house.

A sail shape museum or something. Look at the sky. It's soo foggy.

Besides delicious food and quality time spent with family, we visited to the Basilica Holy Hill which is located like an hour away from Milwaukee city. A very pretty Catholic church. There was some construction going on thats why we couldn't go up to the tower. Anyway, the church interior is breath taking. I love those stain glasses. Very impressive. It reminds me those churches I have seen in Europe.

The night before we left, we had a boat ride in the city. A very nice and relaxing boat ride. In fact, the temperature got to 63F, its kinda chilling. Milwaukee city was very pretty at night, with those lights on at all the buildings. Also, those river side condominium or apartment are soo nice. You just wish you could own one there. Bad John din't join us for the boat ride. He said he already had one last year.

EXCEPT the super long, super exausted road trip, everything else was perfect. I enjoyed my trip and the time I spent with my family. Also, I am glad that I get to see more and know more about this country. As planned earlier, John was supposed to go Arizona last week and he actually wanted to drive up there (another 18hrs road trip K!!!?). Luckily the business trip cancelled and I can stay at home and watch Olympic. By the way, I am going to Shreveport next Wednesday. A short 2 days get away with John and my parent in laws. What to do in Shreveport? Alcohol and gamble my friends!!! It is time to get back to facebook Texas Hold'em table and practise. Oh ya, there are more random pictures taken in the trip to share with everyone. hehe!
